First Name, Last Name, First Name, Patronymic, Maiden Name, User Name, ID, VAT, Social Security Number, Social Security Number, Date of birth, Place of birth. For complaints: for the handling of complaints/grievances under or not under the institution of the “Citizen’s Ombudsman”.

For the provision of electronic payment services “epay”: this information will be used by the Municipality of Thessaloniki for the payment/repayment of users’ debts to the Municipality.

For voluntary actions: This information will be used by the Municipality of Thessaloniki to communicate with individuals who have expressed interest in voluntary actions.

For applications for a permanent resident card: This information will be used by the Municipality of Thessaloniki to process the above applications. The personal data provided by users of the parking rights services provided by THESi are processed exclusively for the provision of the services offered. This includes the use of contact details in order to enable the THESi support team to resolve any problems and queries arising during the use of the services, as well as for communications for information on the offered and similar services.

For “THESI” controlled parking system applications: this information will be used by the Municipality of Thessaloniki for the processing of the above applications. The personal data provided by users of the parking rights services provided by THESi are processed exclusively for the provision of the services offered. This includes the use of contact details in order to enable the THESi support team to resolve any problems and queries arising during the use of the services, as well as for communications for information on the offered and similar services.

For the service “Improving my City”: The Municipality of Thessaloniki is going to use this information for the processing of your requests or the examination of your complaints or grievances and for this purpose it may transmit it to the competent Services/Departments of the Municipality or to other Public Bodies, Competent Authorities or Service Providers cooperating with it, in order to respond to your requests or to natural or legal persons to whom the processing is entrusted, provided that we will inform you in advance and receive your prior consent.

For the Digital Citizen Services platform:

This information will be used by the Municipality of Thessaloniki for the processing of the above applications. After the identification/authentication of the user through the unique taxisnet codes (AADE), the data necessary for the submission of a certificate application will be collected and then for the receipt of the digital certificates the user enters again using the personal taxisnet codes in the electronic platform and in his digital locker and downloads the requested digital documents and certificates in his computer. The certificate will be in the user’s mailbox for a period of 3 months from the date of issue, ready for printing and receipt.

To register as a user on the ‘DIMITRIAS’ website

This information is to be used by the Municipality of Thessaloniki in the context of its communication with the Citizen/Citizen, by any means (including mail, e-mail, telephone, etc.), to help us manage and communicate with you regarding the improvement of the management of the services provided by the Municipality in the past, provided now or to be provided in the future and of course after your explicit and clear consent, where required.

For the Electronic Appointments Application

This information will be used by the Municipality of Thessaloniki for the processing of the above applications. After the identification/authentication of the user through the unique taxisnet codes (AADE), contact data (telephone number and e-mail address) will be collected in order to set an appointment at the Departments of the Municipal Registry and the Registry Office.

Data storage

On https://thessalon iki.gr/ and the related websites of the Municipality, personal data is stored only for the time necessary to perform a service that you have requested or for which you have given your consent, subject to the provisions of the Law, as is the case with regard to matters governed by the relevant legislation, the various relevant provisions, etc.

Deletion of Data

Your data will be deleted as appropriate and always in accordance with the provisions laid down by the relevant legislation.

Transfer of Personal Data to third parties

The monitoring of communications

2.Purpose of processing and legal basis

We use a surveillance system for the purpose of protecting persons and property. The processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by us as controller (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3Analysis of legitimate interests

Our legitimate interest consists in the need to protect our premises and the goods located therein from unlawful acts, such as, but not limited to, theft. The same applies to the safety of life, physical integrity, health and property of our staff and third parties lawfully present on the premises. We only collect image data and limit the capture to areas where we have assessed that there is an increased likelihood of illegal acts being committed e.g. theft or vandalism, such as at the entrances of the Municipal Buildings (Municipal Hall), panoramic views of the Foyer of the Municipal Hall, the Stairwells, in front of the entrance to the Mayor’s Office and at the Cashier’s Office, without focusing on places where the privacy of the persons whose image is taken may be unduly restricted, including their right to respect for personal data.

  1. Recipients

The material kept is accessible only by our competent/authorized personnel who are in charge of the security of the site. This material shall not be transmitted to third parties, except in the following cases: a) to the competent judicial, prosecutorial and police authorities when it contains data necessary for the investigation of a criminal offence involving persons or property of the controller, b) to the competent judicial, prosecutorial and police authorities when they request data lawfully in the exercise of their duties, and c) to the victim or perpetrator of a criminal offence, when it concerns data which may constitute evidence of a criminal offence.

  1. Time of observance

We keep the data for fifteen (15) days, after which they are automatically deleted. In the event that during this period we detect an incident, we isolate part of the video and keep it for up to one (1) month more, in order to investigate the incident and initiate legal proceedings to defend our legitimate interests, while if the incident concerns a third party we will keep the video for up to three (3) months more.

  1. Rights of data subjects

Data subjects have the following rights:

  • Right of access: you have the right to know whether we are processing your image and, if so, to receive a copy of it.
  • Right to restriction: you have the right to ask us to restrict processing, such as not deleting data that you consider necessary for the establishment, exercise or maintenance of legal claims.
  • Right to object: you have the right to object to processing.
  • Right to erasure: you have the right to request that we erase your data.

You can exercise your rights by sending an e-mail to dpo@thessaloniki.gr or a letter to our postal address or by submitting your request to us in person at the shop’s address. In order for us to consider a request related to your image, you will need to identify approximately when you were in range of the cameras and provide us with an image of you to help us identify your own data and to help us conceal the data of third-party depicted persons. Alternatively, we give you the option of coming to our premises to show you the images in which you appear. We also point out that exercising the right to object or erasure does not imply the immediate deletion of data or the modification of processing. In any case, we will reply to you in detail as soon as possible, within the time limits set by the GDPR.

What are your rights?

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation [EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679], as applicable, you have the following rights:

(a) the right of access,

(b) the right to rectification,
